Regional Sales Director, Commercial - Segment

Position Overview

Twilio Segment is seeking a dynamic leader to manage one of its Commercial Segment sales organizations. This role is responsible for leading a team of Segment Account Executives (AEs) in driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from discovery to close. The ideal candidate will employ a solution-oriented sales methodology with a focus on customer data and marketing activation use cases. This position is ideal for someone passionate about coaching and developing early-career sellers, acquiring new logos in high-growth Mid-Market and small Enterprise sectors, and experienced in driving scaled customer expansion.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue and advance the careers of the sales team.
  • Recruit, develop, and enable a team of Account Executives.
  • Oversee and ensure successful execution of high-velocity and strategic sales cycles.
  • Engage at the executive level with companies ranging from venture-backed high-growth technology firms to strategic Mid-Market companies modernizing their marketing and analytics tech stacks.
  • Motivate individuals and the team to exceed targets through coaching and mentorship.
  • Accurately forecast business on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct sales leadership experience managing teams selling into SMB to small-Enterprise accounts.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas.
  • Strategic ability to build a team, coupled with the tactical skill to execute on a day-to-day basis.
  • Proficiency in modern sales processes and methodologies, with a demonstrated track record of coaching to the Challenger framework.
  • Proven experience in hiring, training, and retaining high-performing AEs across Commercial roles.
  • Passion for the marketing technology and data landscape.
  • Excellent presence and proven ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of forecasting and data-driven management.

  • Experience with Challenger Sales methodology.
  • MEDDPICC Training.
  • Command of the Message training.
  • Hoffman Sales Training.
  • Martech Sales and/or Management experience.
