Candidates must have 5+ years of progressive business experience in healthcare or biotech, including 3 years of field-based account management, sales, and field reimbursement. Successful biotech/pharma product launch experience is required, and experience in rare or niche markets with a documented track record of exceeding goals is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or higher is necessary. Strong business relationships in GI/hepatology are desired, and pediatric and adult experience are welcomed. Competitive marketplace experience and proven experience working within Hospitals, Academic Institutions, and clinics calling on interdisciplinary care teams are preferred. A track record of researching and problem-solving complex issues impacting HCPs while mitigating barriers to patient access to care, a proven record of success through collaborative teamwork and execution, and a track record of operating in accordance with all regulations as well as company policy and procedures are also required.
The Regional Account Manager will act as the regional business owner, focusing on increasing HCP awareness and understanding of promoted products. Responsibilities include identifying and establishing strong relationships with key thought leaders and customers, recognizing and devoting necessary time and resources to engage HCPs and create advocates. The role requires an entrepreneurial approach with a focus on ownership and accountability to maximize/exceed individual and company goals. Understanding healthcare trends in the Rare Disease community and applying strategies to mitigate account access challenges is essential. The RAM must understand the access process and demonstrate pull-through skills in collaboration with market access and customers. Strong organizational and analytical skills are needed to optimize growth, including analyzing business data to develop strategic and actionable business plans. The position involves demonstrating and enhancing Mirum’s culture of compliance, integrity, and transparency, and developing and maintaining strong partnerships across commercial, market access, compliance, and medical affairs functions. Driving change through influence and innovation is also a key responsibility.
