Moderna is seeking experienced Regional Account Managers to support the commercialization of Moderna’s groundbreaking vaccine portfolio, particularly within its respiratory vaccine pipeline. Reporting to a Senior Director, Regional Account Management, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing customer relationships with key vaccinators across your region, including Regional Health Systems, State Awardees/VFC, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Contracting Entities, Physician Groups, and Specialty Providers. You will develop expertise in Moderna’s respiratory vaccine portfolio and mRNA platform, leveraging this knowledge to expand vaccination rates and achieve account sales targets. This role thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and requires strong relationship-building skills with procurement, business development, clinical, operational, trade management, and marketing teams within your region’s healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech account strategy and account management
  • Prior experience in vaccines is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of product reimbursement

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic account plans to enhance customer relationships, achieve sales targets, facilitate retention, and drive growth within key accounts (IDNs, Health Systems, FQHCs, Awardees, Physician Groups, Contracting Entities, etc.).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Moderna for a defined set of accounts, analyzing sales trends and achieving established goals.
  • Develop expert knowledge of Moderna’s products and customer requirements to foster mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Work with the Senior Director to establish and execute tactical initiatives aligned with business unit objectives.
  • Analyze account objectives and develop strategic/tactical plans to achieve brand business objectives.
  • Maintain contacts within the industry to gather environmental, competitive, and product-specific information.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships within defined customer bases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Medical Affairs, Marketing, Distribution/Logistics, Strategic Partnerships, Customer Service, and Public Affairs) to implement strategies and tactics.
  • Represent Moderna at trade and customer meetings/conferences.
  • Promote Moderna’s portfolio of products to key customers, differentiating Moderna and establishing long-term business relationships.
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure alignment and full utilization of resources at the account level.
  • Liaise with Contracts, Customer Operations, Legal, HR, and Finance to ensure successful outcomes.
