Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, along with proven experience as a Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or Architect in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract management, and architectural design is required, complemented by proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, AutoCad, or similar software. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills are also essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
The Project Manager will be responsible for preconstruction activities, including takeoff, estimates, creating schedules, and developing scope of works, as well as splitting packages and preparing tender documents for subcontractors. They will also compile tender information, review plans and develop value engineered alternatives, set up contracts (JCT), manage post-contract project management, oversee CSA, maintain budget control, handle procurement, track cashflow, ensure quality control, manage handover processes, and provide o+m services and utilities. Furthermore, the role involves liaising with clients, contractors, and team members through strong communication skills and navigating Building Control and Warranty Providers.
