This role involves managing the support of a mid-to-large scale product, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and government partners to triage issues and create clear, actionable tickets. You will be available to address Priority One issues as they arise and work with the team to continuously improve system response and support, building strong relationships with engineers, client stakeholders, and partner vendors. The ideal candidate thinks holistically, understands how project details fit into the bigger picture, and thrives in ambiguous situations to deliver user value. A strong bias for action with incomplete information and transparent communication to build consensus are key.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sprint process at the intersection of government and the Nava team.
  • Estimate efforts, triage incidents, and manage expectations.
  • Track and communicate progress, and remove blockers as needed.
  • Proactively build relationships with stakeholders and other contractors.
  • Understand team objectives, systems, and capabilities to guide project priorities and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate multiple contractor teams to create alignment within large ecosystems and achieve holistic success.
  • Accurately report risks, successes, progress, and failures.
  • Manage team velocity and continuously improve processes for organizing work.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning, embrace change, and ask insightful questions about business needs and IT capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, or Product Manager in a complex software development environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with the use and management of ticketing systems (Jira and Confluence experience is ideal, but diligence in tracking and documenting issues is more important).
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects of significant complexity, including managing milestones, dependencies, and integrations with substantial risk, uncertainty, or scale.
  • Experience working with product, design, and engineering teams as a cohesive unit, maintaining open communication in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience using agile frameworks (scrum, kanban, SAFe) and familiarity with agile development practices (continuous integration, continuous delivery).
  • Ability to grow and nurture client relationships to drive prioritization across multiple projects and create ecosystems of success.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and increase transparency.
