Requirements

Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or management
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability to successfully manage a diverse group of employees
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation), analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement, demonstrated team building talent
Flexible to work varying shifts and days
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
Proficient in MS Office
Knowledge of KRONOS time and attendance system is an asset

Responsibilities

Leading a positive change effort to improve performance by motivating, recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activities
Actively facilitating and participating in Root Cause Analysis of issues negatively impacting safety/quality/performance, and ensure effective execution and sustainability of corrective actions
Championing hazard identification, evaluation and control through the behavior-based safety and risk assessment programs
Leading daily safety share, encourage, and recognize all safety behavior and lead by example
Increasing employee engagement and improving the culture climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions, report problems, participate in team problem solving sessions)
Ensuring employees receive training on processes relating to safety, quality and production; conduct training sessions as needed and track participation; regularly request feedback from trainees to ensure a high-quality experience
Providing job training with STD work description, SOP and WI; safety training, STOP, FLRA and all other safety programs
Resolving any conflict immediately and assuring that behavior is in line with IKO values; ask for help if needed
Ensuring proper documentation and complete reports (compliance, checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc.)
