Requirements

Proficiency in Python for developing and modifying tools and scripts to automate and streamline workflows
Expertise in facility's departments, pipeline, and workflows
Knowledge of software engineering principles for optimizing tools and pipelines
Understanding of production data management, including backups, archiving, storage, and compliance standards
Familiarity with render farm management, rendering queues, and resource optimization
Skills in media handling, including file types, naming standards, resolution/colorspace, audio/video codecs, and security
Ability to code automation for media preparation, ingest, deliveries, and reviews
Experience with cue management, data transfer, and high-priority media handling following security and firewall policies
Strong troubleshooting skills for render and process issues
Excellent communication skills to liaise between production, artists, and support teams

Responsibilities

Leverage software engineering to optimize critical tools and pipelines for render farm management, media manipulation, reviews, client/vendor ingest, and deliveries, automating processes to ensure seamless workflows and eliminate bottlenecks
Oversee all production-related data, ensuring integrity, accessibility, and compliance, including managing backups, retrievals, show media final archiving, and online/offline storage
Monitor and prioritize rendering queues, troubleshoot issues, optimize render farm resources, and escalate concerns to relevant teams
Code automation to optimize media handling efficiency for artist use, 3rd party vendor I/O, production reviews, and client delivery, adhering to internal and show-specific standards
Ingest and deliver high-priority media from vendors and clients, ensuring conformance to standards and secure transfers while automating processes
Provide technical support and serve as a liaison between production, digital artists, and support teams
