Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
  • Working knowledge of the facility, including tools, parts, equipment, and hardware
  • Previous coaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plus
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others in fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to develop and oversee projects through completion
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be patient, empathize, and be socially aware
  • Ability to work with associates at all levels of the operation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and periodically lift to 40 lbs. during an eight-hour shift
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Understanding of production metrics information and quality criteria

Responsibilities

  • Active assistance in the Onboarding program
  • Build relationships with mentees and establish trust and rapport
  • Provide guidance and support to help mentees overcome obstacles and challenges
  • Provide encouragement and guidance daily to establish an engaged workforce
  • Develop, encourage, and maintain a positive work environment
  • Assist mentees during the first 30 days to ensure they can perform assigned work
  • Provide access to resources, tools, and networks to help mentees succeed
  • Assist with general technical training prior to assignment to production line
  • Provide explanations related to main production metrics and quality criteria
  • Work closely with zone leaders and supervisors as it pertains to training requirements for the Mentee
  • Encourage compliance with all SBD safety, quality and/or any regulations/procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Assist with the development of training materials and act as a support function to the training manager
  • Be involved in the development of different training programs
  • Maintain up-to-date training records
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
  • Share insights and perspectives based on relevant experience and expertise
  • Maintain clean and organized training center
  • Report any unsafe acts /or conditions
  • Report inappropriate behavior
