Candidates must possess a University Degree and 3-5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical, or Surgical Sales, with a preference for Surgical Ophthalmic sales. Advanced written and verbal communication, presentation, and practice development skills are essential. The role requires strong analytical abilities, organizational and negotiating skills, computer literacy in MS Office, and experience with computerized sales administration systems. Advanced optic skills and ophthalmic surgery expertise, including knowledge of diagnostic tests and cataract procedures, are necessary. The candidate must be an independent, creative, and innovative problem solver with a low tolerance for mistakes and the ability to build customer confidence quickly. The individual must reside in or closely surround Montreal.

Responsibilities

The Product Specialist will work with Surgical Account Managers to implement clinical and technical launch initiatives for new products, delivering post-launch presentations and providing training and support for refractive intraocular lenses (IOLs). Responsibilities include communicating advanced knowledge of cataract-refractive procedures and surgical techniques, supporting business relations with accounts and surgeons, and contributing to sales targets. This involves developing and implementing regional tactical plans, training physicians and OR staff, providing support on patient selection and IOL selection, and liaising with key target accounts to increase business potential. The role also includes supporting the execution of regional marketing plans, responding quickly to customer requests, and completing administrative tasks such as CRM updates.
