Requirements

Candidates should possess over 12 years of experience in product security, IP protection, or related fields within consumer technology or R&D environments. Expertise in controlled lab design, prototype handling, and physical security best practices is essential, along with a proven ability to build and operate programs strategically and tactically. Strong investigative and partnership skills, coupled with excellent communication and influencing abilities to build trust across technical and business teams, are also required. Familiarity with trade secret law and scientific research environments is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Product Secrecy & Protection Lead will build and lead Oura’s global program to safeguard confidential intellectual property, prototypes, and pre-release product information across the product lifecycle. This includes developing and enforcing prototype handling standards, conducting risk assessments, and creating mitigation strategies and governance. The role involves partnering with IT/Security for secure digital handling of data, collaborating with engineering and research teams to integrate security measures, and defining key metrics to measure program effectiveness.
