Requirements

Candidates should possess an MLS or JD degree, or demonstrate relevant professional research experience in a private law firm, academic law library, special library, or research center, with a minimum of 5 years of experience providing research in such an environment. They should have experience with legal and business information resources, online database searching, business research, and legal research practice and procedures, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

The IP Research Analyst will conduct legal, business, and other research and reference work, utilizing legal and non-legal information resources, and distilling research results into clear and concise reports. They will evaluate diverse information sources for currency and reliability, assist in instructing others on research tools, maintain research proficiency across various resources, support IP-related research including patent retrieval and portfolio compilation, effectively utilize request tracking software, and engage in continuous professional development. Furthermore, the analyst will demonstrate client service orientation, strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage competing deadlines while working collaboratively and independently.
