Product Owner - Credit Decision Systems

Position Overview

Kunai is seeking a Product Owner to lead the development of services supporting credit decision microservices. This role involves defining which card products can be assigned to new applicants within a highly resilient and stable, always-on data-driven decision system for the banking industry. You will be instrumental in creating real-time customer experiences and backend services that determine credit worthiness.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute technical product strategies for client initiatives.
  • Lead engineering teams focused on the development of highly resilient applications.
  • Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations and reports.
  • Align product development efforts with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Leverage agile methodologies to ensure high-quality, on-time product delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Agile product management or ownership, with a proven ability to lead and support Scrum teams.
  • Technical Foundation: Strong technical background in software engineering, platform design, or solutions architecture is a major plus.
  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms, ideally focused on AWS.
  • Golang: Comfortable working with Golang-based applications (a plus, not required).
  • Project Management: Demonstrated success in project management and delivery, with strong strategic planning capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Skilled in navigating non-matrixed environments and managing initiatives that evolve beyond the original scope.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and senior business stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Range

  • $120,000 - $205,000 annually
