Position Overview

Zen Educate is seeking a dedicated Product Marketing Manager to join our Product team. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between powerful software features and tangible value for our users. You will be responsible for crafting compelling positioning, messaging, and packaging that drives adoption and clearly communicates value. Initially, your focus will be on our school-facing software, with future expansion to the educator side of the marketplace.

Employment Type

  • Full-time employee (UK contract)

Salary

  • £45,000 - £55,000

Location

  • London HQ
  • 3 days a week in the office

Key Responsibilities

  • Packaging: Shape how software capabilities are bundled and priced to accelerate school onboarding.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip Sales and Customer Success teams with effective sales stories, objection handlers, and launch kits.
  • Launch Readiness: Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure successful feature rollouts, maximizing adoption and tracking clear success metrics.
  • Marketplace Expansion: Initially focus on school-facing software, with a plan to expand to the educator marketplace over time.

What Success Looks Like

  • A consistent increase in school platform adoption and active usage.
  • Clear, differentiated messaging that is effectively adopted across web, email, demo decks, and sales calls.
  • Sales and CS teams successfully engaging more schools (new and existing) due to compelling product narratives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Understand Customer Problems: Possess a user-first mindset, essential for a role within the Product team.
  • Create Converting Content: Excel at producing story-driven media, designs, and copy that resonate regardless of the channel.
  • Analyze Data: Are comfortable using analytics tooling and dashboards.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work seamlessly with Product Managers, Growth teams, and Sales to build strong feedback loops.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in education-tech or marketplace environments.
  • Prior experience with US go-to-market strategies.

How We Work

  • Outcome-First: We prioritize adoption and learning over vanity metrics.
  • Agile, Fast Iterations: We embrace small, incremental, and frequent launches with tight feedback loops. Long hours are seen as a sign of inefficiency, not dedication.
  • Real Talk: We foster an environment of open communication, sharing wins, misses, and challenges transparently.

By eliminating traditional recruitment agencies, Zen Educate reduces hiring costs for schools and increases earnings for teachers. The company charges schools a fee for using its platform, which is typically lower than agency fees, and may offer premium services for additional support. The goal of Zen Educate is to simplify the hiring process in the education sector, making it more efficient and affordable for both schools and teaching professionals.
