Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a subscriber or direct to consumer focus
  • Some direct experience working with, or on, a Performance or Growth Marketing team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders and customers
  • Previous experience with paywalls, checkouts, onboarding or other subscription funnel components
  • Passion and knowledge about digital media, news and investing
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research
  • Fluency in digital product, digital media and subscription metrics
  • Experience defining and implementing product requirements for websites and mobile apps
  • Proven ability partnering with a technology organization
  • Proven strategic thinking skills
  • Experience conducting experimentation
  • Familiarity with Braze, Piano Composer or similar technology is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally across business lines to define product requirements and prioritize the Subscription roadmap
  • Support digital subscription growth by creating and enhancing user experiences across the entire funnel, including onsite placements, registration prompts, paywalls, shop pages, and retention initiatives
  • Manage an ongoing A/B testing program; defining tests, launching them to production and analyzing their results
  • Own both the long term strategy and roadmap for various subscription products, including enhancements and optimizations to increase conversion rates, engagement, and subscriber revenue
  • Perform analysis to demonstrate ROI and impact of product enhancements to help us measure against our subscription goals
  • Work with research teams to gather and analyze audience feedback regarding our products
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and UX designers throughout the product life cycle
  • Define and measure KPIs for success
