Requirements

Candidates should possess 3-5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure. Deep domain expertise in payment systems and rails, including bank transfers, card networks, and/or alternative payment methods is required. Experience working on both backend systems (e.g., payment orchestration, API integrations) and user-facing features is necessary, along with a strong customer-centric mindset focused on simplicity, trust, and conversion in payment flows. The ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, design, fraud, compliance, and operations, and comfort working with data to define and measure product impact are essential. A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, technology, or business administration is also required. Specific expertise in card acquiring or LATAM payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will own and evolve a set of payment rails across specific methods and geographic regions. They will lead partner integrations and manage relationships with payment processors, acquirers, and banking partners. Key responsibilities include driving continuous improvement of authorization rates, settlement speed, and overall user conversion. The role involves collaborating with fraud and compliance teams to ensure payment flows meet security, regulatory, and operational standards. Additionally, the Product Manager will drive UX enhancements through structured experimentation and customer insights, and ensure payment capabilities are scalable and adaptable across various Kraken platforms. Using data to inform prioritization, track performance, and iterate toward better outcomes is also a core part of the role.
