The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a management or mentoring role. Proven leadership in complex initiatives such as information architecture overhauls, redesigns, and cross-platform projects is essential. Experience with design systems, component libraries, and Figma workflows is required, along with strong communication skills, particularly in remote and asynchronous environments. The candidate should be adept at navigating both 0-to-1 and iterative product design processes, with proficiency in accessibility, responsive UI, and UX best practices. A background in B2B SaaS, MarTech, or data-rich product environments is preferred.
The Product Design Manager will lead a team of 3-6 product and systems designers, managing and mentoring them through pivotal growth stages. They will own high-impact design initiatives, acting as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for projects like information architecture overhauls and app redesigns. Responsibilities include driving design quality across UX, UI, accessibility, and usability, as well as evolving the company's design system. The manager will also foster a culture of feedback, inclusivity, and async-first communication, while collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers on strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
