The Senior Manager, Product Design must have experience leading product design teams and driving creative vision. They should be able to manage, mentor, hire, and build a world-class product design team, creating annual and quarterly resource plans. The role requires a visionary with the ability to translate undefined ideas into actionable design frameworks and roadmaps, anticipating user needs and influencing through compelling visual narratives. Experience in proposing and prototyping new product areas, articulating strategy for emerging design/technology, and providing critical feedback at the systems/strategic level is essential. The candidate should also have experience in facilitating brainstorms, ideation sessions, design thinking workshops, and design sprints.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Product Design will lead product design across multiple areas of focus, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management leadership on long-term vision and strategy. They will manage a team of product designers, responsible for career and performance management, coaching, and resource planning. This role involves defining hiring standards and practices, galvanizing teams around a shared vision, and providing mentorship and training to designers. They will lead the creation of new product visions that impact business revenue, act as an innovation leader, and consult on new products and future technologies, including market definition and business model. Responsibilities also include communicating design efforts to senior leaders and anticipating and handling emerging issues.
