Requirements

Candidates must have over 5 years of UX Design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX/UI solutions for complex web and mobile applications. Experience in a Lead or Senior role is highly preferred. Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Design Thinking is essential, along with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, information architecture, design systems, and interaction design patterns. Experience conducting and synthesizing user research is required, as is a solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Lead Product Designer will lead design initiatives for new features and product enhancements, taking ownership of complex design problems from conception to execution. They will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Development to define product strategy and requirements, ensuring design alignment with business goals and user needs. Responsibilities include conducting user research, creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Ballpark, Hotjar, and Figma, ensuring consistency with the Apollo Design System. The role involves championing UX/UI best practices, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, mentoring other designers, contributing to design systems, advocating for user needs, and participating in agile development processes.
