Candidates must possess a BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, with over 3 years of experience in analytics or development, preferably in digital product or commerce. Required skills include gathering business and technical requirements for analytics instrumentation, translating requirements into tracking plans and data layer specifications, familiarity with tag management systems and SDK-based event tracking, understanding of standard eCommerce and mobile app behavioral metrics, hands-on experience validating analytics implementations and troubleshooting data quality issues, and knowledge of SQL for event-level data analysis. Experience with Python or other scripting languages, implementing tag management systems like Adobe Launch or Google Tag Manager, and utilizing data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio are considered advantageous.
The Product Analytics Strategist will partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to define analytics requirements for new features and enhancements across eCommerce and mobile experiences. They will translate business questions into detailed tracking plans, ensure accurate implementation through QA/testing, and resolve data quality issues. The role involves working with data products and analytics platforms to analyze digital product performance data, uncover root causes of behavior, identify experience enhancements, and build/maintain reporting dashboards to monitor KPIs. Responsibilities also include translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders, partnering with vendors to measure feature impact, contributing to the optimization of the analytics tool stack, staying informed on industry trends, and managing project timelines and communications.
