Requirements

Candidates must have 7-10 years of equivalent work experience in waste disposal, chemistry, or a related field providing technical expertise. A strong understanding of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Laws and Regulations, waste characterization principles, waste processing protocols, and transportation (DOT) regulations is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and PDF writer is necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Preference will be given to candidates with Hazardous Waste experience, including RCRA, DOT, and TX state regulation knowledge, residing in the Gulf area of Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana.

Responsibilities

The Principal Technical Service Advisor will lead technical support initiatives, providing advanced expertise to sales, operations, and customers. This role involves troubleshooting technical waste and hazardous waste treatment and disposal issues, serving as a subject matter expert. Responsibilities include engaging with clients to understand technical requirements, delivering customized solutions, and ensuring satisfaction. The advisor will meet with clients to discuss waste management solutions, analyze laboratory results and safety data sheets, and compile technical data into comprehensive reports. They will investigate hazardous waste regulations, aid in waste classification, evaluate treatment options, and comply with transportation guidelines. This position will also support the sales department by offering solutions, performing technical evaluations, facilitating interdepartmental communication, maintaining customer pricing records, assisting with marketing strategies, and focusing on customer retention and business development. Additionally, the advisor will support bid material development, coordinate with customer service and operations for proper hazardous waste treatment, and mentor junior staff.
