Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are desirable, and expertise in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture frameworks is required. Strong understanding of healthcare IT standards, interoperability, and compliance requirements is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal Solutions Architect will lead the development of technology strategy and roadmaps for the VA Community Care Network (CCN) contract, designing and overseeing complex IT solutions to support the VA’s mission. They will translate business needs into technical systems solutions, integrate hardware, software, and network interfaces, and collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure solutions meet strategic and operational needs. This role involves solution design and architecture, stakeholder collaboration, oversight and implementation of solutions, technical expertise and innovation, and technology risk management and compliance, along with maintaining comprehensive documentation and providing regular updates to senior management.
