Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with AWS services in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical role, with at least 3 years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures. A deep understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices, particularly security-focused services, is required. Experience with identity standards like SAML 2.0, OAuth 2, OIDC, modern security principles such as zero trust and multi-factor authentication, and designing solutions with IAM platforms for single sign-on is essential. Proven ability to develop high-quality technical artifacts, comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity concepts and scalable cloud infrastructure principles, and exceptional communication and collaboration skills are also necessary. Strongly preferred qualifications include AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, Security Specialty) or relevant cybersecurity industry certifications.

Responsibilities

The Principal Solutions Architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor and lead technical enablement for the AWS partnership, working closely with AWS technical teams to build the technical roadmap for engagement. Responsibilities include equipping sales teams to effectively position solutions and support the selling process, shaping and driving successful technical engagements, and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders. The role involves designing tailored security solutions that integrate 1Password's platform with AWS services for secure cloud-native deployments and providing strategic guidance on the design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructures optimized for generative AI solutions.
