About the Role:

At Scribd, we believe access to knowledge should be frictionless—and that starts with a seamless and scalable billing and payments experience. We’re building a world-class Payments & Billing team to power our global subscription business. As the product leader, you'll define the vision, set the roadmap, and lead execution across our core revenue infrastructure: billing systems, payment platforms, vendor ecosystems, and compliance enablers.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership opportunity to architect the systems that power a multi-million dollar business and build the foundation for long-term growth. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Finance, Risk, Legal, and external partners to deliver outcomes that are strategic, resilient, and future-proof.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for all payments and billing infrastructure—subscription lifecycle, transaction flows, revenue tooling, compliance, and more.
• Drive cross-functional execution across Finance, Risk, Engineering, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly systems.
• Define and deliver against outcomes—with a strong focus on metrics, speed, and business impact.
• Manage critical vendor relationships (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, tax engines), shaping strategy and contracts to support Scribd’s goals.
• Stay ahead of the curve, proactively identifying risks, technical debt, and new opportunities in the payments ecosystem.
• Serve as the company’s product expert in payments and billing—able to communicate clearly across all levels and functions.
