Requirements

Candidates should possess 6+ years of combined experience in Product Management or Data Science, with at least 3 years as a Growth Product Manager; they must demonstrate excellent communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at all levels, including within teams, the company, to users, and to the press; familiarity with SQL, Python, Pandas, and NumPy is required, and a passion for AI and emerging technologies is preferred; a BA/BS degree in Statistics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable. Additionally, candidates must be available for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora’s “coordination hours” (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).

Responsibilities

The Principal Product Manager - Growth, Poe will contribute to an early-stage team in a fast-paced, startup environment focused on driving new users to discover, use, and retain on Poe; they will manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies, and will be willing to take necessary actions to ensure product success; the role involves researching and understanding the latest in Gen AI to inform product priorities, partnering cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and data science to gather requirements, define, build, release, and promote new products; defining objectives, metrics, and key results to guide product strategy, and analyzing product performance using quantitative and qualitative data to inform future work; the Product Manager will also contribute to an early-stage team and drive company-level impact, influence overall company strategy, and interface regularly with product leadership and the executive team.
