Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree or professional certifications in HR/OD being preferred. A minimum of 10 years in digital learning/learning innovation is required, including over 2 years of experience applying AI in L&D. Strong data fluency, including experience with learning analytics, dashboards, and KPIs, is essential. The role also requires a proven track record of leading cross-functional pilots from concept to scaled implementation, experience managing vendor partnerships in the learning tech ecosystem, and comfort operating independently to make high-impact decisions in ambiguous environments. Executive presence with the ability to communicate project plans, roadmaps, and development outcomes to senior leadership is also necessary. An advanced degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or a related field, along with experience influencing the adoption of new technologies in large, complex organizations and being recognized externally as a thought leader in learning innovation, are desired.

Responsibilities

The Principal, Leadership Development Manager will design, lead, and evolve high-visibility leadership development programs, including executive offerings, aligned with Twilio’s Leadership Expectations and business strategy. This individual will act as a strategic advisor to HRBPs and senior leaders to assess capability gaps and propose targeted development solutions. They will champion leadership mobility and growth by integrating development with succession planning, performance, and career systems. The role involves applying expert-level knowledge of learning science and leadership theory to develop solutions that resonate globally, and owning program success end-to-end, from needs assessment to iteration. Additionally, the manager will influence the broader learning agenda by sharing insights and best practices, manage relationships with external vendors, and facilitate training, team interventions, and learning opportunities.
