Candidates must possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field, coupled with 3-5 years of clinical experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or regulatory agency sector. A strong understanding of data programming, testing, data technology, data flow, and data standards is essential, along with knowledge of statistical techniques and proficiency in programming languages such as Tableau, PowerBI, Python, SAS, R, Shiny, P-SQL, and T-SQL. Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills, a capacity for learning new technologies quickly, and excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, along with demonstrated leadership and teamwork in a professional setting. A clinical background with solid experience in data reporting and visualization is preferred.
The Principal Data Analyst will be responsible for programming and testing clinical trial data reports, dashboards, and analytics, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with study objectives. They will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver standardized reports and innovative analytics, support submission and regulatory response activities, and increase the speed, accuracy, and consistency of reporting and analytic capabilities. The role involves partnering with clinical data management to meet business needs, complying with data standard decisions, utilizing therapeutic knowledge, and applying an understanding of technology to develop data reports and analytics. Additionally, the analyst will represent Data and Analytics processes in cross-functional initiatives, participate in shared learning, and work to improve processes, reduce effort, increase report reusability, and enable automation and seamless data delivery.
