Requirements

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 5 years of related power electronics sales/field applications experience, a preferred 4-year degree, strong understanding of the territory and working industry knowledge, and knowledge of renewable energy, transportation, and industrial markets. Experience in a sales environment, component supplier or distribution channel is preferred, along with detailed working experience pertaining to high power components including IGBTs, MOSFETs, electrolytic/film capacitors, supercapacitors and thermal management products, and experience with Silicon Carbide and GaN based designs is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Field Sales Representative will build and maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and Richardson RFPD partners, create demand for suppliers’ products used in energy storage and power conversion applications, understand primary power electronics components and match solutions to customer business needs, drive new opportunities and product selection within accounts, drive supplier and customer engineering relationships at multiple levels, initiate and schedule regular visits to customer facilities, utilizing distribution/rep/supplier knowledge to grow market share and sales, maintain supplier databases and keep design registration information accurate, train/mentor junior staff and serve as a resource for best practices, and attend supplier training events to keep up-to-date on product lines.
