Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 10 years of experience in mechanical design specifically for automotive power electronics, demonstrating expertise in designing PDUs, PCBs, DC-DC converters, OBCs, and inverters, along with strong proficiency in CATIA for 3D modeling and design documentation. They must also have a comprehensive understanding of thermal management, vibration, EMC/EMI shielding, and environmental sealing, coupled with clear communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams and client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Architect will lead mechanical architecture design for power electronic systems, including high-voltage systems, across various vehicle platforms, applying a DFM/DFA mindset to optimize designs for efficient manufacturing and assembly. They will develop and present mechanical design layouts based on client specifications, integrate feedback, and provide expert-level consultation on design revisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Utilizing CATIA extensively, the architect will develop and refine complex mechanical assemblies and packaging solutions, perform and support testing activities to validate designs, ensure cost-efficiency, and effectively communicate technical details to stakeholders and clients, including executive-level presentations. Furthermore, they will provide input and oversight on compliance, certification, and reliability testing for global markets.
