Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of professional programming experience in Golang, Python, or NodeJS, and professional experience developing and deploying applications in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Oracle, AliCloud, or Azure) with CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with highly available distributed systems, leveraging monitoring tools like Datadog, and strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience designing and implementing core infrastructure components, managing cloud deployments with Terraform, container orchestration experience (Kubernetes, ECS, Nomad), and experience with configuration management tools. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

Responsibilities

The Platform Software Engineer will define and implement routing, load balancing, and communication strategies in a distributed microservice-based containerized environment. They will implement best practices, canary rollouts, and internal tooling for delivering distributed applications at scale. Responsibilities include designing highly available systems, building tools, scaling the platform, and modernizing key components. The engineer will also work closely with other Cloud Engineering teams and engineering teams across the organization, and participate in on-call shifts.
