Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure, along with 3 years of experience in building with Golang. Experience in designing multi-tenant database solutions, disaster recovery, and managing large deployments on AWS is essential. Familiarity with the Postgres ecosystem tools such as pgbackrest, barman, Patroni, and Stolon is preferred, as well as knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing the infrastructure of Postgres databases, improving the reliability of database backups and recovery, and implementing high availability with minimal downtime failover. They will operationalize database management for users, enhance database observability, improve performance, and design CI/CD systems for efficient deployments. Additionally, they will handle escalated storage support tickets and share on-call responsibilities for the storage service.
