Candidates must possess an Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, with a minimum of 10 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise-level hosted and/or microservices development. Expertise is required in Python or C#/.Net Core, along with experience in REST/JSON, OpenAPI Spec, Unit Test Frameworks, and database integration using JDBC, Psycopg2, or equivalent. Proven aptitude for scalable and reliable code design, project and task orientation with attention to detail, and good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Desired skills include experience with public IaaS providers (Azure preferred), stream processing tools, container management and orchestration, serverless architecture, Spring Framework, Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and open source cloud security analysis tools.
The Software Engineer will provide thought leadership in Azure cloud computing, develop cloud-native applications using the latest Azure technologies, and communicate technical designs to stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing hosted web services and integration services, participating in tool and library reviews, and generating technical documentation with unit and functional tests.
