Requirements

At least 3 years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, customer success, high-net-worth client management, or similar relationship-building roles
Experience as a trusted advisor, helping individuals think through decisions and guiding donors in exploring their philanthropic goals while presenting relevant opportunities
Prior experience working with six-figure donors or clients (preferred)
Genuine enjoyment of building relationships, with authentic interest in fundraising and donor stewardship
Natural curiosity about what motivates people
Successful track record of retaining and growing donor relationships

Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of ~100 six-figure donors, building trust-based relationships to increase donor confidence, knowledge, retention, and giving levels
Hold regular calls and in-person meetings to understand donors' values, interests, and goals
Offer personalized giving advice and help donors align GiveWell’s recommendations with their priorities
Create and carry out individualized stewardship plans
Share tailored updates highlighting GiveWell’s work and the impact of donors' support
Support donors through giving decisions to ensure they feel confident and informed
Identify and coordinate opportunities for deeper engagement, including exposure to research and in-person/virtual events
Work closely with communications, research, and other teams to enhance donor experience and ensure accurate, compelling messaging
Share insights from donor conversations to inform broader team planning and strategy
Support cross-team initiatives to strengthen donor relationships and fundraising effectiveness
Maintain comprehensive donor information and interaction history in the CRM system
Track donor engagement and stewardship activities for consistent, high-quality management
Maintain and improve systems and processes for effective donor relationship management to support scaling
