Primer is dedicated to fixing the K-12 education system, believing that educational quality should not be determined by a student's zip code. Our mission is to empower educators to launch microschools within their communities, offering a world-class education that is accessible and scalable. We achieve this by automating and reducing the costs associated with traditional schooling, leveraging the asset-light nature of microschools.
The Primer Foundation ensures that this accessible education is available to every family, regardless of their income, and commits to never turning a family away due to their ability to pay.
Primer is seeking a frontline fundraiser to collaborate closely with the Head of the Foundation to significantly grow philanthropic support. With a strong track record, including raising seven figures in the first 18 months and recognition as the Yass Prize Winner in 2024, we are looking for an entrepreneurial individual to expand our major donor portfolio. This role requires strategic thinking, a hands-on approach, and a deep understanding of philanthropic principles.
If this opportunity aligns with your aspirations, please complete the application provided. For any questions, feel free to reach out to us at jobs@primer.com.
Personalized K-8 education through Microschools
Primer provides personalized educational experiences through its Microschools, which are small, community-based institutions for K-8 students. These Microschools allow children to learn at their own pace and explore their interests, focusing on individual creativity and original thinking rather than a standardized curriculum. Unlike traditional schools, Primer emphasizes a flexible and tailored approach to education, catering to families seeking alternatives to conventional systems. The company actively involves parents in the educational process, fostering a collaborative environment. Primer operates on a tuition-based model but offers personalized payment plans and financial aid to ensure accessibility for a wider range of families. The goal is to create a more engaging and effective learning experience for children.
