Responsibilities

  • Live the purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance through coaching and follow-up
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, demonstrating compassionate care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
  • Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
  • Escalate issues or concerns to the Rx DL for support
  • Ensure cross-trained colleagues complete required training for licensure
  • Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and closing gaps
