Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
Promote best practices and lead through change
Identify and address performance opportunities
Support novel program awareness and onboard newly hired pharmacy team members

Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues

Responsibilities

Live the purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance through coaching and follow-up
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, demonstrating compassionate care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
Escalate issues or concerns to the Rx DL for support
Ensure cross-trained colleagues complete required training for licensure
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and closing gaps
