Position Overview

Paytronix is seeking an SEO Content Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring all content published on HubSpot is well-written, brand-aligned, and optimized for SEO performance, following strategic direction from the Content Marketing Manager. The specialist will be responsible for proofreading, editing, and refining content to meet high standards of clarity, grammar, and style, while maximizing SEO potential. This position involves close collaboration with the Content Marketing Manager and freelance content writers to produce engaging and error-free content for B2B audiences in the restaurant and convenience store industries.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing Manager and freelance writers to assign articles based on the editorial calendar, edit pieces for accuracy, and publish to the Paytronix blog.
  • Create and assign article outlines based on editorial and strategic direction, providing feedback to writers on sentence structure, key points, and overall flow.
  • Write new sections for existing articles or create brand new articles based on provided initiatives.
  • Proofread and edit content for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall quality.
  • Ensure all content adheres to Paytronix's in-house style guide and brand voice across digital publishing platforms.
  • Review and revise content for readability, clarity, tone, and flow, ensuring engagement and brand consistency.
  • Conduct fact-checking and research to verify the accuracy of information.
  • Optimize all material for SEO where relevant and format properly for HubSpot.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Stay current with content marketing best practices, SEO trends, and digital marketing strategies to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of SEO content and related website copy (e.g., internal linking, content-related user experience).

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of SEO research, writing, and editorial experience for a digital publication or B2B company.
  • Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in applying popular style guidelines (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, AP Stylebook) and internal style guides (e.g., SEO Blog Content Style Guide, How to Write Substantive Content Confluence guide).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with writers, designers, and marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMSs) like HubSpot and Microsoft Office.
