Requirements

Candidates must possess over 5 years of progressive HR/People Ops experience, preferably within high-growth startups from Seed to Series B stages. Proven success as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning people strategies with organizational objectives, and strong experience with HRIS platforms, including payroll, HR, compliance, and benefits workflows are essential. Operational expertise, a track record of process improvement, documentation, and systems integrations, comfort in a remote-first environment with experience building trust across distributed teams, and impressive analytical, organizational, and facilitation skills are also required. Experience managing diverse team members including W2 employees, contractors, and freelancers, along with forward-thinking tech savviness, is necessary.

Responsibilities

The People Lead will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, starting with onboarding, including HR operations, offboarding, and compliance, overseeing daily workflow such as payroll, HRIS/Insperity administration, and records management. Responsibilities include managing and improving people systems and external HR vendors to support a scalable People infrastructure, building and scaling foundational talent management practices, serving as a point of contact for HR-related employee questions, and supporting and resolving employee relations issues. The role involves coaching employees and managers through difficult conversations, managing the benefits program, including annual reporting and open enrollment, and partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to shape compensation and benefits strategies. Additionally, the People Lead will assist in designing and implementing practices, policies, and plans to enhance company culture and promote Operating Principles, support the Management Advisory Group, identify areas for automation and technology leverage, and improve operational efficiencies and data-driven decisions by implementing systems for streamlined HR administration and workforce analytics.
