Deel is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist with expertise in Mexican Payroll to join our global team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple clients and states within Mexico. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for Mexico, ensuring accuracy for multiple clients and states.
  • Prepare and process a variety of journal entries, verifying data integrity.
  • Process payroll for stock options, expatriates, sales commissions, and awards.
  • Apply strong Tax Knowledge, including IMSS, ISN, and ISR.
  • Lead day-to-day activities as an Expert for various clients in the local market.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Manage and maintain Payroll Calendars.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
  • Adhere to the escalation matrix and follow up procedures.
  • Maintain internal reporting requirements, updating and publishing metrics as per schedules and on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Represent the company’s best interests at all times.

Experience Requirements

  • English Fluency: Mandatory.
  • Payroll Experience: At least 3 years of payroll experience.
  • Mexican Payroll: Strong knowledge and skills in Mexican Payroll are a distinct advantage.
  • Tax Knowledge: Hard understanding of Mexico Taxes, including the ability to analyze tax issues, related facts, and circumstances, and recommend solutions.
  • Annual Processes: Knowledge of annual payroll processes and reports.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Microsoft® Word and Excel.
    • Tax software (Authorities' portals, SUA, IDSE, etc.).
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Skills Requirements

  • Self-Motivation: Be self-motivated with the ability to achieve preset goals.
  • Organization & Planning: Possess good organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills, including the ability to learn quickly.
  • Language: English Advanced is a Must.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Structure & Organization: Ability to operate in a structured and organized way.
  • Analytical Thinking: Aptitude for analytical thinking in creating solutions.
