Candidates must have 2-3 years of payroll experience, with a strong advantage given to those with Mexican payroll knowledge and skills. A hard understanding of Mexico taxes, including IMSS, ISN, and ISR, is essential, along with knowledge of the annual process and reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as tax software like SUA, IDSE, and authorities' portals, is required. The role also demands self-motivation, good organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills, the ability to learn quickly, and intermediate English language skills.
The Payroll Expert will manage the end-to-end payroll process for Mexico, ensuring accurate processing and recording for multiple clients and states. Responsibilities include preparing and processing journal entries, processing payroll for stock options, expatriates, and incentives like sales commissions and awards. The expert will also analyze tax issues, recommend solutions, manage payroll calendars, participate in special projects, and handle administrative duties. They will adhere to escalation procedures, maintain internal reporting requirements by updating and publishing metrics, and represent the company's best interests.
