Responsibilities
Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals
Explaining the value proposition and demonstrating the Payments Platform
Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
Maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager
Closing sales of business solutions with merchants
Working with the local District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting Heartland Payments solutions
Maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system (Atlas), including call notes, scheduled interactions, contact information, and other relevant data
Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments to secure quota
Continuously building knowledge of current product/service portfolio and developments in the financial technology industry
Attending weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with leader
Participating in training on short-cycle sales process using CRM platforms (Atlas and Salesforce) for lead generation, presentations, client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
