Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals
  • Explaining the value proposition and demonstrating the Payments Platform
  • Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager
  • Closing sales of business solutions with merchants
  • Working with the local District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
  • Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting Heartland Payments solutions
  • Maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system (Atlas), including call notes, scheduled interactions, contact information, and other relevant data
  • Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments to secure quota
  • Continuously building knowledge of current product/service portfolio and developments in the financial technology industry
  • Attending weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with leader
  • Participating in training on short-cycle sales process using CRM platforms (Atlas and Salesforce) for lead generation, presentations, client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
