Responsibilities
Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals within a fast sales cycle
Explaining value proposition and demonstrating Payments Platform
Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
Maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager
Closing sales of business solutions with merchants throughout the area
Working closely with local District Manager to set appointments with business owners via network and referral partnerships
Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting Heartland Payments solutions
Prospecting new clients
Maintaining existing/prospective client records in CRM system (Atlas), including call notes, scheduled interactions, contact information, and other relevant data
Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure quota
Continuously building and developing knowledge of current product/service portfolio and changes in the financial technology industry
Attending weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one with leader
Participating in training period with District Manager on short-cycle sales process using CRM platforms (Atlas and Salesforce) for lead generation, sales presentations, client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
