Requirements

  • 2-year or 4-year degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Sales, Mechanical, Engineering, or similar discipline) OR equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience required
  • Preferred: Previous sales experience in conveyors, lubricants, mining, hydraulics, wire and cable, electrical supply, filtration, ventilation, gas detection, breathing apparatus, safety, communication devices
  • Track record of progressive sales accomplishments (preferred)
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel overnight (may be required)
  • Onsite location in Kingsport, TN metropolitan area

Responsibilities

  • Develop market plans and conduct research to identify sales opportunities within assigned territories
  • Work with branch managers and associated Company personnel to promote product lines to core and target accounts
  • Develop action plans to capture a major share of the core and target business within each territory
  • Call upon and visit customer sites daily to ascertain needs, take orders, promote products, and foster relationships
  • Work with Inventory Control regarding stock levels and obsolete inventory
  • Promote and facilitate the sale of industrial supplies to core and target accounts
