Responsibilities

Prepare patients for eye examinations and explain each stage of the eye test
Complete pre-screening examinations
Book appointments for customers
Dispense spectacles and contact lenses
Handle repairs and adjustments for spectacles
Ensure stock has been received from the supplier
Deliver warmth, friendliness, and confidence when discussing personal ocular health issues
Quickly resolve customer problems and guide them to the right products
Participate in training programmes (e.g., Asda Optical Step In or Level 3 Optical Assistant Apprenticeship) to learn dispensing, repairs, adjustments, glasses verification, and contact lens insertion/removal
Provide amazing customer service and patient care
