Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, including over 5 years in a leadership role. Essential skills include the ability to drive lean transformation, understanding of manufacturing flow, and proficiency in Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and Design of Experiments. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are also necessary, along with a customer service orientation and the ability to influence others.

Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will create and maintain a safe work environment, engage employees, and drive positive culture change. They will ensure quality standards and on-time delivery commitments are met, acting as a change agent for continuous improvement and standard work adherence. Responsibilities include maintaining 5S and visual management practices, establishing staffing plans, partnering with leadership, ensuring compliance with Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) processes, and establishing operational metrics. The role involves meeting cost objectives, achieving productivity targets, minimizing overtime, monitoring spending, developing technical and leadership expertise through coaching and mentoring, driving lean processes, and managing projects. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, appraising performance, and resolving employee issues. The manager will also review and analyze proposals to justify expenditures.
