Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional education
  • Thorough understanding of application maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and networks
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proactive ability to take initiative without waiting for instructions
  • Ability to work effectively across various teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Adaptability and flexibility in new environments
  • Business-level Japanese language proficiency, basic English skills
  • 3+ years of experience in operational maintenance of open systems applications
  • 3+ years of experience in application development across all phases (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release)
  • Experience with Java, AWS, and Angular development is desirable
  • Experience in the insurance industry is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate the stable environment of AIG Japan business applications
  • Adhere to global/local governance requirements and maintain application health (cyber security remediation, regular updates to applications/documentation)
  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applications, guide vendors to perform BAU activities properly (incident management, problem management, change management, etc.)
  • As a Lead of applications, set priorities of BAU activities coordinating with business users, IT application delivery teams, and other stakeholders
  • Manage vendor contracts and licenses
  • Handle escalations from team members and escalate to the Direct Manager
  • Create reports on BAU activities and report to the Direct Manager and Senior Management
  • Lead BAU work (PS operations)
