Job Description

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Position Overview

Here at Moonpig, we’re the UK’s favourite destination for online greeting cards, gifts and flowers - and we’ve been helping people send a little magic through the post for 25 years. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or “just because”, our mission is simple: to help people connect and create moments that matter.

In the UK, we’re a household name with millions of loyal customers. Now, we’re bringing the Moonpig magic to Australia – and we’re looking for our very first hire on the ground to help make it happen.

You’ll be joining our New Markets team – a small, mighty squad that launches Moonpig into new countries. We’re part start-up, part scale-up, and full of talented people who get things done. This is an initial 12-month Fixed-term Contract, remote-first from Melbourne role (with occasional visits to our Melbourne-based 3PL fulfilment partner). You'll be the local link between our Aussie customers, partners, and our UK based team – helping us deliver brilliant experiences from day one.

One foot in customer operations, one in marketing activations, and both hands on some exciting special projects – it’s a fast-paced, roll-your-sleeves-up kind of role with plenty of variety. If you’re a confident communicator, natural organiser and excited by the idea of building something from the ground up – we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Ops Support: Triage day-to-day customer-experience issues, chase down delivery hiccups, and coordinate with warehouse/fulfilment partners to lift NPS and hit SLA targets.
  • Special Projects Delivery: Drive one-off launch initiatives (e.g., onboarding marketplace providers, exploring new courier options, rolling out local gifting SKUs) from brief to post-mortem.
  • Marketing Activation Support: Roll up sleeves for influencer seeding, pop-ups, PR stunts, cross-sell emails—whatever puts Moonpig on Aussie lips.
  • Relationship Management: Act as a friendly, proactive people person who can build, nurture & negotiate with large suppliers, logistics partners and external marketing/creative agencies—ensuring everyone’s rowing in the same direction.
  • Project Comms & Reporting: Maintain project trackers, status decks and risk logs; surface wins and blockers to the New Markets team.

About You

  • Ideally 3–4 years in operations, project coordination or e-commerce support (marketplace or D2C a bonus).
  • Proven plate spinner who thrives in start-up style environments.
  • Confident communicator who can work remote-first and build trust across time zones.
  • Comfortable working 2–3 late evenings (Mon-Wed) to overlap with European team.
  • Experience working with 3PLs, last-mile couriers or customer support platforms would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to marketing campaign execution and reporting would be beneficial.
  • Remote first role, but need to be within reasonable commuting distance to visit our Melbourne 3PL provider from time to time.

Why join Moonpig now?

  • Be employee #1 in Australia – a rare opportunity to help launch a well-backed brand in a new market.
  • Join a business with a great company culture and values, with proven success and international ambition.
  • Collaborate with smart, friendly people across the globe.
  • Get hands-on in a role that blends creativity, operations and commercial thinking.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
