Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related engineering roles, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). A strong understanding of OCI networking, IAM, compartments, security lists, and resource management is required, along with experience using OCI-native security services. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible Automation Platform is essential. Familiarity with security best practices, scripting languages (Bash, Python), and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA) is also necessary. Experience with security tools like Teleport, Crowdstrike EDR, Tenable, and SIEM is required.
The OCI Security & Infrastructure Consultant will configure and maintain OCI infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and load balancers. They will design and deploy multi-cloud networking, enforce traffic-control policies, and implement OCI Identity and Access Management policies. Responsibilities include hardening OCI infrastructure, applying security patches, and managing updates. The role involves designing and operating a monitoring, alerting, and reliability stack, responding to security alerts, and building an Infrastructure-as-Code pipeline using Terraform and GitHub Actions. They will orchestrate configuration and patch management with Ansible, configure backup and disaster recovery setups, and perform regular reviews of access and audit logs. The consultant will also assist with security incident investigations, collaborate with various teams to enforce secure controls and best practices, and recommend initiatives based on emerging threats. Managing remediation efforts and providing documentation and knowledge transfer are also key duties.
