Knowledge of age-specific factors for patients from infant through geriatrics
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Eligible for sign-on bonus (new grads up to $15,000; 2+ years experience up to $20,000)
Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swing bed, pediatrics, outpatient adult

Responsibilities

Develops and implements individualized treatment programs for patients needing services
Evaluates assigned patients, gathering data from patient records, interviews, observations, and team members
Uses selected activities and/or tasks to promote and maintain health, and to achieve treatment goals
Establishes and modifies intervention goals and strategies based on ongoing evaluations
Provides direct therapy services to patients using various functional settings and strategies
Plans therapy within the patient’s physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities, coordinated with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans
Prepares documentation including evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, and reports
Communicates effectively with patient, family, physician, and interdisciplinary team members regarding status, progress, and needs
Establishes rapport and works cooperatively with interdisciplinary team members (including family/physician)
Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-services, workshops; shares knowledge with co-workers
Evaluates and monitors clinical internships for students
Participates in program development of the department
Interviews, hires, develops, trains, and retains employees; plans, assigns, and leads work; appraises performance; rewards and coaches employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems
