Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, or similar field preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business environment, preferably in facility management, operations, customer support, or customer service in the apparel industry (outdoor, sportswear, or apparel experience a plus)
  • Strong project management skills: highly organized, excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong spreadsheet skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of business process development and improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical ability to use telephone, computer hardware/software, sit and stand for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 35 pounds
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Drive excellence in showroom presentation and merchandising for seasonal sell-in
  • Manage all aspects of showroom operations, including initiatives, policies, and procedures
  • Support seasonal sell-in through sample processing and management, customer product presentations, and meetings
  • Own process management and streamline workflows for efficiency
  • Oversee facility maintenance and resolve issues related to Wi-Fi, AV, cleaning, recycling, pest control, and other services
  • Handle daily UPS/FedEx shipping and receiving
  • Organize and maintain selling materials and sales tools (print books, swatches, etc.)
  • Maintain office supplies and manage food/beverage and catering for meetings
  • Provide account assistance, including answering procedural questions, supporting complex orders, and managing requests for product data and assortments
  • Maintain positive communication with Columbia and Sorel management, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by supporting Key Account Executives, Regional Sales Managers, the sales team, and wholesale customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for showroom operations, including managing daily activities, sample management, supporting sales teams, assisting with customer presentations, and representing the interests of regional retail customers to Columbia Headquarters
