Requirements

  • Licensed nurse (LPN/LVN) with current license in state of employment; additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas
  • Established experience in nursing field with recent experience that may include direct patient care, physical assessment, clinical education, and group in-servicing in the long-term care setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Web applications
  • Ability to travel regularly, up to 80%
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive long distances

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to present Omnicare Nursing Services and promote utilization of support tools and programs
  • Evaluate regulatory compliance and determine clinical education needs for SNF/Senior Living customers as it relates to pharmacy services
  • Review medication carts and medication rooms for proper medication storage
  • Observe medication pass and provide feedback to staff and leadership
  • Review charts for proper documentation of medication management
  • Conduct review of orders to medications being delivered by pharmacy to ensure order accuracy
  • Identify and provide recommendations regarding deficiencies and opportunities around drug inventories, storage, and distribution
  • Provide clinical training to facility staff, typically in small groups of 10-15 staff members
  • Manage resolution of customer issues and requests
  • Assist with onboarding new facilities to pharmacy processes
