Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a strong focus on network management systems and operations. Experience with DNS, IPAM, Load Balancer, and Webproxy services is essential, along with familiarity with vendor products like Infoblox and F5. Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization and accreditation (A&A) efforts is required, as is experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, and/or Windows PowerShell.
The NMS Network Engineer will provide Domain Name System (DNS), IP Address Management (IPAM), Load Balancer, and Webproxy services to end-users, interface with end-users and other engineering entities, maintain technical documentation, and develop and maintain DNS, IPAM, Load Balancer, and Webproxy production systems. They will perform lab vendor equipment and software evaluation, testing, integration, and security certification, support Tier-4 production troubleshooting, develop proactive analysis and solutions, leverage network analysis tools, and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) A&A efforts. Additionally, the role involves designing, planning, engineering, developing, automating, securing, documenting, and supporting the implementation and escalated support requests for highly available (HA) solutions, as well as troubleshooting complex systems.
